Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry Graduate Faculty and Research
Currently, our graduate faculty members conduct research in the areas of analytical, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry, as well as biochemistry, and directly supervise graduate student research as chairs of graduate committees.
We also have a number of professional faculty who specialize in teaching, running support facilities, and other jobs vital to the smooth operation of the department. While in most cases these faculty members are able to give valuable service as members of advisory committees for graduate students (chosen in consultation with your graduate committee chair), they do not maintain research programs and so do not serve as chairs of graduate committees.
